A white label brokerage means running a broker under your own brand on software someone else built and hosts. It is how almost every new brokerage starts, because building a trading platform, client portal and back office yourself typically costs $50,000 to $150,000 or more and takes 9 to 18 months.
The price question is harder than it looks. One vendor quotes only a trading terminal, another a CRM, a third bundles liquidity and charges through your trading volume. To compare quotes you first need to know what a complete brokerage needs.
What a complete brokerage stack includes
- Trading platform: the web, mobile and desktop apps clients trade in, plus the server that runs instruments, spreads, leverage and margin.
- Client portal: sign-up, KYC, deposits, withdrawals and account management, often called the traders' room.
- Back office and CRM: leads, sales staff, roles, approvals, IB and affiliate management, reporting.
- Payments: the connections to banks, card gateways and crypto that move client money.
- Liquidity: a liquidity provider and bridge if you route trades to the market.
A cheaper quote often leaves out one of these layers. Always ask which ones are included before you compare prices.

The MT5 white label problem
For years the cheap way into brokerage was an MT4 or MT5 white label. MetaQuotes stopped issuing new white labels around 2022, so a new broker now either sub-licenses from an existing main label holder or applies for a full licence, which requires a financial licence and a corporate bank account. Press reports also describe MT5 fee increases in 2025.
A sub-licensed MT5 white label can still be a reasonable choice if your clients expect MetaTrader. Ask whose licence you are on, what happens if the main label holder loses it, and what the CRM, client portal and payments will cost on top, because MetaQuotes does not supply them. Our MT5 white label alternative page covers the trade-off in detail.
The charges under the headline price
The monthly fee is rarely the whole bill. These are the lines worth asking about by name:
- Setup and onboarding fees. Commonly $5,000 to $50,000, paid before you have a client.
- Revenue share. Some vendors take 20 to 50 percent of revenue instead of, or on top of, a fee. Spotware notes that white label models often involve this kind of split.
- Per account charges. Plans that include a set number of live accounts and bill each account above it.
- Platform licensing. If your vendor resells MetaTrader or cTrader, that licence is in your bill somewhere.
- Liquidity-linked pricing. Software that is free only while you route enough volume to the vendor's liquidity.
- Modules. Copy trading, PAMM, IB portals and mobile apps sold separately.
What FirmForge costs, and what it does not include
FirmForge is priced as a flat monthly plan per platform: Custom from about $400, Growth $799, Professional $1,499, and Enterprise on request. There is no setup fee, no onboarding fee, no revenue share, no per account charge and no platform licensing line, because the trade room is built in rather than resold. Your first month is billed when you create the platform.
Every plan includes the trade room, the branded client portal, the back office with KYC review and withdrawal approvals, deposits by bank transfer, crypto or a card gateway, and 21 languages. Optional modules such as Copy Trading ($99 a month) and the IB/Affiliate Portal ($149 a month) are sold in the Marketplace. See the white label broker platform and pricing.
The honest limits: FirmForge does not provide liquidity or a bridge and does not offer MetaTrader. Brokers on Enterprise can bring their own DXtrade, cTrader or Match-Trader. Licensing stays with you, as it does with every white label vendor.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a white label brokerage cost?
Typical 2026 pricing runs from about $400 a month with no setup fee on an all-in-one platform such as FirmForge, to $2,000 to $15,000 a month plus setup fees of $5,000 to $50,000 with established vendors. Licence, legal, payments and marketing are extra in every case.
How much is an MT5 white label in 2026?
Through a main label holder, MT5 white labels typically cost $5,000 to $15,000 to set up and $1,000 to $3,000 a month, before the CRM and client portal. A direct MT5 licence is reported at around $10,000 a month and requires a financial licence.
Can I still get an MT5 white label from MetaQuotes?
MetaQuotes stopped issuing new white labels around 2022. New brokers either sub-license from an existing main label holder or apply for a full licence.
What is the cheapest white label brokerage option?
An all-in-one platform with a flat monthly price and no setup fee is usually the cheapest way to start, as long as you do not need MetaTrader. Compare the whole bill at the size you expect to be in a year.
Does a white label brokerage include liquidity?
Not always. Some vendors bundle liquidity, others, including FirmForge, sell software only. If you want to route trades to the market, you arrange a liquidity provider and bridge separately.
